How To Get Obama's New Health Insurance
By Heather Egan
After a recent uninsured visit to a hospital for a stomach infection, I found out first hand how distorted our health care system really was. With a 30 hour stay, and a few IV drip bags, my hospital bill came out to around $38,000. It was unreal the prices charged by the hospital for services that were $1200 through a private health facility (like a CT scan where it was $1200 through a private company but $7200 through the hospital). IV drip bags ran $350 each and not only was there a hospital bill, but there were separate radiology bills, emergency room physician bills, attending physician bills, and emergency room 'additional' services bills. Yes, it's a racket of an epic nature and if you're uninsured, you're stuck in the middle of this organized extortion game. Democrat or Republican: No Matter Whether or not you voted for Obama, or support him, it doesn't matter. I am talking about the ability to get Government health care. Here is how you get it. Where To Get It The site you'll want to visit is http://pcip.gov and here is how you get this great insurance. You'll need to get rejected from a regular insurance company for ANY pre-existing condition (or get denied outright). Get Rejected By Another Insurance Company Now, this is very easy to do. You see, insurance companies word their application so intensely that you would most always have some sort of pre-existing condition if you've ever been to the hospital, for any reason, within the last 10 years. Or, if you've ever been uninsured for more than 60 days. Obama fought tooth-and-nail with the powerful Insurance lobby (and Republican congress) to get this health care for us so you should take advantage of it. Monthly premiums are dependent on age range from $170 per month to several hundred dollars per month. Why This Insurance And Not Through Major Insurers Like Blue Cross, Anthem, HumanaOne, etc Because, and without committing libel, they exist for one reason: to make money. And when you apply, you're the mark. They can accept you, take your premiums, and as long as they make money off of you, they'll pay small claims, but with any serious condition, if you've answered just ONE question wrong on your application, they can do what's called a RESCISSION where they retro-actively cancel your policy and reverse out all claims. For example, if you say that your height is 5'10 and you're 5'9, that's a cause for rescission. If you failed to accurately answer ANY of the application questions, that's a cause for rescission. And, trust me, that application is CRYPTIC. You'll miss something. It's almost certain. Sample Insurance Application Questions To Prove The Point "Have you gained or lost 10 pounds any time during the last 8 years? "Have you ever been short of breath any time during the last 8 years?" "Have you ever had trouble sleeping any time during the last 8 years? These are just a few. There are pages and pages of questions like these. All very generic and nearly applicable to everyone. When you really need them is when they'll strike. When you're at your weakest. You won't get that treatment with government health insurance for Pre-existing conditions. What You'll Need You'll need the actual letter from your present or denying insurance company which told you that you were denied insurance and/or that they were excluding a certain condition. You'll then mail that off to the specified address. National Finance Center Pre-Existing Condition Insurance Plan P.O.Box 60017 New Orleans, LA 70160-0017 You'll also need a voided check if you want your premiums to be automatically deducted each month. It's important to note that there are some eligibility requirements including a six (6) month mandatory lapse in coverage for the applicant. Further, it's not available in all states. States where there are established Pre-Existing insurance plans have their own offerings. See the links below for more information. |

I would think if the government's plan is to LOSE money instead of make money like the "evil" private sector, we will be looking at another Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac in the Health Care Industry in the near future. Everybody I've talked to that has private health insurance has seen their premiums skyrocket as well. It seems to me that there will be people in the private sector that will be priced out of the market. It seems to me for every person who gets insurance under the plan there will be someone who loses health insurance due to cost in the private sector. My feeling is there won't be a net increase in those who have health insurance. Thanks for the information.

Thanks for your comment. Using that rationale, do you feel that the presence of Freddie Mac or Fannie Mae has caused mortgage companies to be 'priced out of the market?' Your response is a common rebuttal but I can't seem to find a specific instance where this was true. Looking forward to an example and discourse is welcomed. As an afterthought. Since PCIP only takes 'insurance company rejects' and poses no competition to regular insurance companies, do you feel that the 'skyrocketing' premiums you've heard about are due to PCIP or, perhaps, to outrageous bills from hospital visits like the one I've mentioned above?
Awesome detailed info and great instructions even I could follow! You have done a great service to many people by posting this intel.

Thanks, Nick. Yeah, I thought this would be an award-winning piece of Intel in terms of how many it could help. I was really hoping people would see it and get themselves insured where they had no other option. Really, really glad it could help you.
I'm glad to see someone tackle this subject. There should be a special place in hell for the greedy medical insurance companies who hold the American people hostage and who keep spinning out lies and half-truths to make sure they can maintain the status-quo. Like Howard Beale in "Network," "I'm as mad as hell, and I'm not going to take it any more."
